Important Update: The movie will now be released on the 10th of May!
Check out this poster, courtesy of VultureHound : ” On Friday 3rd May, THE CORRUPTED, a contemporary crime-thriller set in the aftermath of a bloody land grab that took place across London ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games, releases in cinemas across the UK and Ireland.
Featuring an all-star cast of British screen favourites, THE CORRUPTED follows Liam (Sam Claflin), an ex-con determined to win back the love and trust of his family, having lost everything at the hands of a local crime syndicate run by Clifford Cullen (Timothy Spall).
Beneath the blinding lights and towering sights of the newly-built East London skyline, lies a dark, dangerous web of corruption. Stratford was home to the Olympic Games; decorated in the notion of legacy. But there’s little hope to be found for the recently released Liam McDonagh (Sam Claflin); a talented boxer put away for armed robbery, who wants nothing more than a peaceful life, and to reconnect with his young son Archie. But his brother Sean (Joe Claflin) is in deep, caught up in property developer Clifford Cullen’s (Timothy Spall) violent, unforgiving circle, with no route out. Liam knows he must risk everything to save his brother before it’s too late, but first, he needs to know who he can trust – which is a harder proposition than it sounds.”
We are looking forward to watching the movie and see Sam in another brand new role, far from other roles he has taken in the past. We will keep you posted with more news very soon!
