From the cold fog of Wales, the cobbled paths and lights of Paris to the sunsets and sands of Spain, we’ve followed Sam on his journey to becoming the incomparable Will Traynor for the film adaptation of Jojo Moyes’ beautiful novel Me Before You, set to be released in Summer 2016. The role of the miserable quadriplegic enlightened by the sprightly step and bumblebee tights of his newest carer Lou Clark (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke) has certainly brought a transformation for Sam from his last role as Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games franchise; yet under that distant expression, beard scruff and confines of a wheelchair, we know his talent will shine through and move us to tears once more. With thanks to the Daily Mail we were lucky enough to get to see some incredible BTS shots of Sam & Emilia filming in Spain during June, including our first shots of Sam using Will’s wheelchair!

According to
Deadline, Sam and Emilia Clarke are in negociation to star in ‘Me Before You’, the movie adaptation of Jojo Moyes’s novel. The movie will be directed by Thea Sherrock and is said to be released for August 2015!
“Me Before You tells the story of Lou, a small-town girl caught
between dead-end jobs, and Will, a success all his life who finds
himself wheelchair-bound after an accident. He finds no reason to live
until they meet when he hires her as his caretaker for six months, and
she becomes determined to prove to him life is worth living. They head
for a series of adventures together, which changes each of them.“
We are very excited about this possible new project for Sam, and we’re looking forward to hearing more about it!
