Our Sam is a busy boy! According to Deadline, Sam has signed on to star in Robin Friday, a biopic about the controversial 1970s English soccer legend who died at age 38. The film is based on the biography The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw: The Robin Friday Story, co-written by Paolo Hewitt, who also penned the screenplay was written by producer Julian Stone and Hewitt.
Filming is expected to start in the UK in the Autumn, and is being directed by Henry-Alex Rubin (Murderball, Disconnect) and produced by Mike Young, Julian Stone and Hewitt of RF Movie Productions Ltd. Developed with funding and support from Film Cymru Wales.
