SCF was lucky to attend the preview screening of Peaky Blinders Series 5 on Tuesday the 23rd of July at BFI Southbank in London.
Emily and Val
BFI Southbank did a great job at creating a very special Peaky Blinders atmosphere with portraits of the characters hanging on the walls inside the big venue. After picking up our tickets from the box office, we took place inside the cinema where BBC people introduced Series 5. All we can say is that fans won’t be disappointed with the beginning of the new season.
You will have to wait quite some time during the episode to see Sam as Oswald Mosley, but what a delight it is when he finally appears on screen! We are looking forward to seeing his character’s journey.
When episode 1 finished, we also got to see a little preview of episode 2 before the screenwriter and cast came on stage for the Q&A.
You can watch the video above if you are interested in watching the whole panel (we missed the very beginning and the very end, apologies). We also got the chance to ask Sam a question! Let us know if you’ve recognized our question 🙂
We did not expect the Q&A to last such a long time, which was great! There were some really interesting questions and the cast took their time to reply. After the Q&A, we headed to the after party where the Peaky Blinders atmosphere took a all new level!
We also got the chance to chat with Sam for a bit and he mentioned that he was currently busy filming his upcoming movie Enola Holmes. Needless to say we are very excited for that one!
SCF were once again in London to attend the World Premiere of Sam’s latest film My Cousin Rachel, which took place at the Picturehouse Central Cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue on Wednesday 8th June. But for SCF, this was no ordinary premiere. For the first time ever we were invited into the press pen! And we are ridiculously proud to be able to bring you some lovely little interviews with Sam’s lovely co-star Iain Glen, director Roger Michell & of course with our fave guy himself!

We were also lucky enough to get tickets to see the film (huge thank yous to @CousinRachelUK for setting all of this up for us!) and also attend the after party where we got to speak with Sam once again, his lovely family & his beautiful wife Laura who were all so nice! We honestly need to thank them all so much for always being so lovely & supportive of us – it means the world. It really was a magical evening.

And now, without further ado – please enjoy our video interviews & spoiler free review of the film below!
It’s such a pleasure to support Sam each & every day. We are proud to support such a lovely, talented, down-to-earth guy & we cannot wait to see where his incredible journey will take him. We’ll be with him every step of the way x
Anna from our team was lucky enough to be a juror at Giffoni Film Festival, which Sam attended on July 21st and she was present at the Meet The Stars Q&A session that he took part in. She has written all about her experience, which you can read below. She also managed to take some gorgeous photos & videos so check those out too!
