SCF was lucky to attend the preview screening of Peaky Blinders Series 5 on Tuesday the 23rd of July at BFI Southbank in London.

BFI Southbank did a great job at creating a very special Peaky Blinders atmosphere with portraits of the characters hanging on the walls inside the big venue. After picking up our tickets from the box office, we took place inside the cinema where BBC people introduced Series 5. All we can say is that fans won’t be disappointed with the beginning of the new season.

You will have to wait quite some time during the episode to see Sam as Oswald Mosley, but what a delight it is when he finally appears on screen! We are looking forward to seeing his character’s journey.

When episode 1 finished, we also got to see a little preview of episode 2 before the screenwriter and cast came on stage for the Q&A.

You can watch the video above if you are interested in watching the whole panel (we missed the very beginning and the very end, apologies). We also got the chance to ask Sam a question! Let us know if you’ve recognized our question :)

We did not expect the Q&A to last such a long time, which was great! There were some really interesting questions and the cast took their time to reply. After the Q&A, we headed to the after party where the Peaky Blinders atmosphere took a all new level!

We also got the chance to chat with Sam for a bit and he mentioned that he was currently busy filming his upcoming movie Enola Holmes. Needless to say we are very excited for that one!

Sam was Audi UK’s guest at Henley Festival on Friday, July 12th. Some of you might think we are a bit biased, but we absolutely loved his suit! If you would like to find out more about the event and other guests attending alongside Sam, click here.

“It’s been a few years since we have last seen Sam at Wimbledon! We can all remember the lovely photos of him and his wife Laura back in 2014. This year, he attended alone day 3 of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. All we have to say is that we loved the suit!

On Sunday 16th of June, Sam made his Soccer Aid debut for England! Unfortunately England lost, but the match was an amazing opportunity to raise funds for children in need all over the world. Sam has always been very fond of children’s organisations and of course, everyone knows about his passion for football – hence this perfect combination. We hope to see him participate again next year!

Soccer Aid earned a massive £6.7m for Unicef UK after the match which is absolutely amazing (x).

We would like to start by saying a huge thank you to Wales Comic Con for organising such an incredible event. Not taking in consideration the weather, the day was perfect and everything was very well organised! It was held at Wrexham Glyndwr University, a considerably big campus, the staff was always helpful in pointing us in the right direction.

We arrived a bit before 9am on Saturday 27th of April and went straight to the signing hall, where guests would be signing autographs. Big thanks to those of you who came to chat with us, it was lovely to meet you and we were very happy to distribute our mini-sam-badges.

We had the amazing opportunity to meet Sam and chat with him about his upcoming movies – The Nightingale and Charlie’s Angels. He also mentioned he was excited to start filming “Love, Wedding, Repeat” in Italy, he also shared his excitement about Game of Thrones. Catching up with Sam is always an absolute pleasure, and we hope you guys like the message we recorded for you.

In the afternoon, we headed towards Hall A to start queuing for our Photo-Op with Sam at 2.05pm. We met some lovely people in the queue and everyone was very excited to meet Sam though queuing under the rain was not very ideal.

Alexander Ludwig (Hunger Games, Vikings) also came to Sam’s table to greet him and noticed the pair spent some time together during the weekend. A Happy Hunger Games reunion (though they were in different movies). Make sure to check out the Hunger Games Q&A with Sam and Alexander, courtesy of Emily from our SCF Team who attended the event on Sunday!

Comic Con is also about cosplay and art! We did not want to miss anything and wondered around to discover extremely talented artists!

Nathan made an amazing coffee painting portrait of Sam – watch the video with Sam’s reaction here.

Overall, we would definitely do it all over again! We look forward to the next event with Sam and will make sure to be there to support him, as we have been doing for the past 7 years. We hope you guys love the message he left for you! Again, thanks for supporting him.
