To say Sam Claflin’s star is rising seems woefully inadequate; rocketing would be a more appropriate term. Certainly there has been nothing steady about the actor’s career path to date. Just months out of LAMDA he was notching up parts in prestigious TV shows, chasing this up with scene stealing roles in Hollywood blockbusters like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Snow White and the Huntsman. Claflin, 29, isn’t someone who’s about to rely on a megawatt smile and ‘nice guy’ reputation to keep stoking his career, however, if you’ve seen his turn in The Riot Club you’ll know he’s not afraid to do nasty. Sam was photographed by Aaron Richter as part of a great feature in the October Issue of Men’s Health Magazine (USA). The feature focused on different looks for different occasions using denim as a staple item as part of the Denim Issue of the magazine. Sam looked great in all of the photos and offered up some tips for looking great and feeling comfortable. “Dark denim is my favourite,” He tells the magazine, “Especially if the leg is tapered and there is not too much slack at the bottom.”
We think you can agree that whatever he wears, he looks great! Check out the scans and incredible photos from the shoot below.

Sam was chosen as cover star for Men’s Health Magazine’s bi annual supplement Urban Active. Along with some absolutely stunning new photographs of our favourite guy there is also this amazing interview which we have transcribed below. Please credit us if you are using our scans or transcription.
Post-apocalyptic life looks remarkably mundane to 29-year-old Sam Claflin. “I just got back from my parents’ place in Norfolk”, says the Brit actor. “Waking up to the bin men driving up the street kind of puts it all into perspective.”
Perspective is useful when you’re coming off the back of a dystopian pop-culture phenomenon like The Hunger Games, in which Claflin plays trident-wielding tribute Finnick Odair. The final instalment – Mockingjay Part 2 – hits cinemas in November. In case you’ve mistakenly written it off as Twilight-lite, the series of young adult novels turned film franchise combines a surprisingly sharp critique of social inequality and reality TV with surprisingly sharp weapons, as subjugated teenagers from poor districts are forced by their metropolitan overlords to fight to the death, Battle Royale-style, in the name of Saturday-night entertainment.
Eric Down shared the new stunning cover of Urban Active for Men’s Health Magazine (UK) featuring our dear Sam looking absolutely amazing!
Check it out in your local retailer… As soon as we get a hold on the interview, we will be posting scans and a transcription!
Photographer Matt Holyoak shared this stunning black & white shot of Sam to his Instagram page. This shot is an outtake from Sam’s Glamour Man of the Year shoot from 2014. There must have been so many beautiful photos that some won’t have been able to make it into the magazine but we think you can agree that we are so glad Matt shared this one with us!
